The Wine Teacher is a family business based in Mid-Sussex. We enjoy teaching people about all aspects of wine and have been running fun and educational events since 2005. We are an independent educator and do not sell wine on the back of our events.
We run wine tasting evening courses from our “schools” in Lindfield, Brighton, Tunbridge Wells and various locations in London. These are 5 week courses that are intended to teach the basic principles of wine tasting and give you a good basic knowledge of the main grape varieties and the wines they produce. Courses can be booked individually or as a private group.
We also specialise in one-off tasting events or tasting parties. These could either be for a private group wishing to learn more about wine together or for a special event such as a birthday party, hen/stag party or a special dinner party. For these events, we can tailor the wine and theme to any subject that would suit, as well as catering for all budgets. We are happy to travel to your home or preferred venue for these tasting events – we are also happy to source local venues for your tasting parties to.
The Wine Teacher also offers corporate hospitality packages for companies in London and the South East. We can cater for groups up to 120 people and are happy to work with any existing alcohol or catering suppliers. We have also run a number of wine tasting events for charitable organisations, as part of their fund raising activities.
We are now also offering 2-hour Gin Tasting workshops at locations in Brighton, Lindfield and London. This popular session showcases some of our favourite gins, whilst explaining the gin making process and what makes certain brands taste different. We will also show you how to make the perfect G&T alongside some other classic gin cocktails.
David and Victoria really enjoy talking to people about wine and spirits and are always willing to discuss any tasting projects or events. Please call us on 07799 417607 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
